Biography

2021 (Senior): Appeared in 26 games with 16 starts as a utility player for the Spartans … Saw time in the outfield and at third base for NSU … Hit .254 with six RBIs in 59 at-bats … Drove in two runs while going 1-for-2 at N.C. Central on Feb. 27 … Also went 2-for-2 at Florida A&M on May 1… Had three straight two-hit games in May … Was 2-for- 4 with a double and two RBIs in a win over DSU, then went 2-for-3 with an RBI the next day against the Hornets … Also went 2-for-4 in the MEAC Tournament game with FAMU.

2020 (Junior): Played in eight games and started five times – three in right field, one in center and one at third base … Had two hits in 15 at-bats on the year with one stolen base … Recorded three runs batted in, one each against Morehead State, Albany and Eastern Kentucky … Hit a run-scoring single at EKU … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters and was selected to the MEAC All-Academic Team.

2019 (Sophomore): Saw action in 26 games, including 11 starts in the outfield – seven in left field and four in right field … Batted .225 with nine hits, including two doubles, on the campaign … Drew nine walks and had a .367 on-base percentage … Was 1-for-2 and scored a run in a win over Maryland Eastern Shore in the teams’ second series … Batted 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in a win over Delaware State in the teams’ final series meeting of the season … Also doubled and scored at North Carolina Central at the end of the regular season … Started in three of the team’s four MEAC Tournament games … Hit an RBI groundout to help NSU beat N.C. A&T in the tournament … Also had one hit in each of the games vs. Florida A&M in the championship round … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters.

2018 (Freshman): Played in 34 games and started 30 times as a freshman … Recorded 15 hits, including one double, one triple, one homer and nine RBI … Hit an RBI single against Hofstra … Belted a two-run home run against N.C. Central … Had two hits and a pair of runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Maryland Eastern Shore … Recorded an RBI double in the series finale at Jackson State … Posted his first career two-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two RBI in the MEAC Tournament loss to Bethune-Cookman … Named to the NSU AD’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

High School: Lettered three years … As a senior, was first-team All-Metro by the Richmond Times Dispatch, first-team all-conference, 6A South All-Region and second-team all-state … Batted .426 with five triples, 16 runs scored and a .630 slugging percentage as a senior … Hit .463 as a junior en route to first-team all-conference, all-state and All-Metro honors … Earned second-team all-conference and all-state accolades as a sophomore … Named one of the top 500 players nationally and top 15 in the state of Virginia in the high school senior class of 2017 by Perfect Game … Also named an Atlantic Region honorable mention All-American by Perfect Game.
