Biography

2021 (Senior): Made 13 appearances, 11 in relief … Was 1-2 with a 9.09 ERA … Pitched 34.2 innings and struck out 27 batters … Pitched two scoreless innings against Morehead State on March 20 … Earned his lone win of the season with 3.1 scoreless innings of work at DSU on April 23, allowing just one hit and striking out two … Pitched 4.1 innings, a season high, in back-to-back outings against FAMU and DSU in May … Struck out five hitters in a game twice, against DSU and FAMU in early April.

2020 (Junior): Logged six appearances, two of them starts … Was 0-1 with 21 strikeouts in 23.1 innings pitched … Struck out six over 4.1 innings of relief against Wagner … Pitched two scoreless innings against Morehead State, striking out one … Pitched a career-high seven innings with a career-high 10 strikeouts in his first start of the year, against Albany … Allowed just five hits and two earned runs in that game … Also started at Eastern Kentucky, pitching 6.1 innings with three strikeouts … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters and was selected to the MEAC All-Academic Team.

2019 (Sophomore): Made 21 appearances, second-most on the team, and all coming in relief duty … Was 1-1 with a 6.95 ERA and two saves … Struck out 40 batters in 33.2 innings … Pitched at least three innings in a game four times … Struck out at least one batter in all but one appearances … Pitched three scoreless innings and allowed just one hit to get the save in a road win at Delaware State in March … Had six straight scoreless appearances at one point in April, including three straight in the series with Coppin State … Earned the win in the series finale with Delaware State in late April with a scoreless inning pitched … Picked up the save with a scoreless inning at MDES in early May … Struck out a career-high six batters in three innings pitched in the first game of the MEAC Tournament championship round vs. Florida A&M … Allowed just one hit and one run in that appearance … Also made 13 starts at third base early in the season, batting .239 in 46 at-bats with eight RBI … Hit a three-run double against Savannah State and also went 2-for-5 later in that series, one of his two multi-hit games on the season … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters and was a member of the MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team.

2018 (Freshman): Made 24 appearances, tops on the team … Started four times and appeared out of the bullpen on 20 occasions … Went 2-2 with a 3.98 ERA and one save on the year … Allowed just 51 hits in 52 innings and struck out 39 batters … Starting with a two-inning relief stint at Old Dominion in early March, had six straight appearances where he did not allow an earned run … Earned his first collegiate win with four shutout innings at Delaware State in the first MEAC series of the season … Allowed just one hit and fanned three in that game … Also pitched 2.2 scoreless innings against DSU in the teams’ second series … Tossed 3.1 scoreless innings at Coppin State in the game three of the teams’ second series … Struck out five in that appearance … Got the start and picked up his second win of the year against Longwood … Went a season-high five innings, yielded two runs on four hits and matched his season high with five strikeouts … Got the save in the team’s win at Jackson State with two hitless, scoreless innings of relief work … Named to the NSU AD’s Honor Roll for both semesters.

High School: Pitched and played shortstop for Westfield … Was a three-year letterwinner … Earned first-team all-conference and honorable mention all-region honors as a senior utility player … Hit .390 with two homers and 12 doubles in his final prep season … Batted .330 as a junior, when he was a second-team all-conference shortstop.
