Biography

2018 (Senior): Batted .258 during his senior year … Started 45 times in the 46 games he played in … Ranked third in the MEAC with 24 stolen bases … Hit nine doubles, one triple and one home run … Drove in 15 runs and scored 29 times … Posted 12 two-hit games … Stole two bases and was 1-for-3 with an RBI in the season-opening game with Villanova … Was 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored at VCU … Opened the first series with Delaware State by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBI, a double and two steals … Drove in a season-high three runs during a 2-for-4 day in the middle game of the second DSU series … Hit a solo home and went 2-for-5 in the first game of the final series at Maryland Eastern Shore.

2017 (Junior): Started 39 times in 44 games, seeing most of his time in right field … Assumed the role of lead-off hitter midway through the season … Batted .273 with 27 runs scored, four doubles, one home run and 16 RBI … Tied for sixth in the MEAC with his 15 stolen bases, and was caught stealing just three times … Posted a .373 on-base percentage … Recorded nine multi-hit games … Had a hit in the Spartans’ first 13 MEAC Northern Division games of the season … Hit 5-for-13 with three runs scored in the first MDES series with two two-hit games … Batted 5-for-11 with five runs scored and four RBI in the first Coppin State series … Drove in a career-high three runs in the second game of that series while batting 2-for-4 with two runs scored … Belted a two-run homer in the second game of the second series with Delaware State … Stole two bases in the win at North Carolina A&T … Had consecutive two-hit games against Delaware State (2-for-4, double, RBI) and Longwood (2-for-4, two runs) late in the season … Recorded six hits in the four MEAC Tournament games (6-for-14), including two-hit games in both wins over North Carolina A&T … Matched his season and career high with three RBI in the tourney elimination game victory over the Aggies.

2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in 39 games and started 23 times … Batted .256 with five doubles, one triple, one home run and 14 RBI in 82 at-bats … Scored 18 runs and was successful in all four of his stolen-base attempts … Hit a solo home run, the first of his career, in the third game of the season-opening series with Lehigh … Doubled and scored a run in the loss at ODU … Scored twice and went 1-for-2 in a win over NJIT … Had three two-hit games, all against MEAC opponents … Went 2-for-3 with an RBI in wins over Coppin State and Delaware State in the first half of April … Went 1-for-3 with two RBI in a win over MDES in the teams’ second series against each other … Had a four-game hit streak in late April and early May against Longwood, DSU and Richmond … Was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the MEAC tournament win over Coppin State … Played during the summer season with the Virginia Beach Sea Monsters of the Virginia Beach Collegiate League … Named to the VBCBL all-star game … Batted .293 with 14 RBI and 11 stolen bases.
 
2015 (Freshman): Played in 19 games and started six times … Recorded four hits in 23 at-bats for the year (.174 average) … Scored six runs and drove in four … Had his first collegiate hit in a win over Coppin State in late March … Had two hits and reached base in all four of his plate appearances at Coppin State in April … Hit an RBI single in the second game of a doubleheader sweep of the Eagles … Also had a pinch-hit RBI single at VCU … Scored two runs in the first game of the Jackson State series … A member of the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the fall 2014 semester … Batted .314 as a member of the Tidewater Summer League’s Mid-Atlantic Pirates wooden-base collegiate league during the summer, including one home run.
 
High School: Three-year member of the varsity baseball team at Kecoughtan for coach Brett Wheeler … Earned second-team All-Monitor-Merrimac Conference honors as a senior, when he batted .340 … Was second team All-Peninsula District as a junior after hitting .410 … Ranked by perfect Game as the No. 4 outfielder among the senior class of 2014 in Virginia … Was an Underclass Honorable Mention All-American in 2013 by Perfect Game … Also played one year of varsity football.
