2020-21: Member of the MEAC All-Academic Team … Also earned a spot on the NSU AD Honor Roll for the fall semester. Cross Country: Season was canceled due to COVID-19. Indoor: Took second place in the 5K at the Kenneth Giles Invitational (15:37.63) in his lone indoor appearance. Outdoor: Finished fourth in the 5K at the Gamecock Invitational in 15:19.28 … Earned three medals at the MEAC Outdoor Championships … Was runner-up in the 10K (32.21.39) and third in both the steeplechase (9:56.54) and 5,000 meters (15:44.31).

2019-20: NSU AD Honor Roll member for both semesters and also named to the MEAC All-Academic Team. Cross Country: NSU’s first individual MEAC cross country champion since 2011 … Helped lead the Spartans to the conference team title as well … Including the MEAC Championship, was the team’s top finisher at four of the five meets during the season … Finished 29th at the U.Va. Cavalier Classic with a time of 25:27.5 on the 8K course … Clocked a season-best 8K time of 24:51.1 at the same course for the Panorama Farms Invitational, good for 28th place … Crossed the line 14th at the Pre-National Invitational with a time of 25:25.5 … Won the MEAC individual title with a clocking of 25:03.5 … That earned him USTFCCCA National Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors … Posted a time of 31:22.6 on the 10K course at the NCAA Southeast Regional, good for 56th out of 250 runners. Indoor: Opened indoor season with a third-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the CNU Holiday Open (8:41.88) … Was 10th in the 5K at the VMI Team Challenge (15:17.03) … Scored points for NSU in three events at the MEAC Indoor Championships … Placed fourth in the 5K (15:18.12), sixth in the 3K (8:50.72) and seventh in the mile (4:29.10). 2018-19: Transferred to NSU and joined the team in time for track and field season in January … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the spring semester. Indoor: Opened the season by finished as runner-up in the 3,000 meters at the Virginia Tech Invitational … Won the 5,000 (15:07.70) and took third in the 3,000 (8:38.48) at the VMI Keydet Invitational … Was runner-up in an indoor 5K PR of 15:00.96 at the Liberty Invitational … Clocked a season-best mile time of 4:20.00 at the JDL Invitational … Scored points for NSU in four events at the MEAC Indoor Championship … Placed third in the 3,000 (8:40.39), fourth in the 5,000 (15:14.39) and seventh in the mile (4:29.30) … Also ran a leg on NSU’s third-place DMR team. Outdoor: Clocked a 3,000m PR of 8:32.80 in a third-place finish at the Fred Hardy Invitational to kick off outdoor season … Placed 10th in the 10K at the Colonial Relays (30:42.58) and 14th at the Virginia Challenge (PR of 30:32.32) … Was also runner-up in the 5,000 meters at the Charlotte Invitational (15:03.05) … Placed top four in three events at the MEAC outdoor championship … Was runner-up behind teammate Evans Cheruiyot in both the 5,000 (15:02.14) and 10,000 (31:28.24) … Also took fourth in the steeplechase in a PR of 9:37.75.

At Hofstra: Enrolled in January of 2018 … Individually, placed fifth in the 10,000 meters at the 2018 Penn Relays (Hofstra does not sponsor track and field) … Named the 2018 CAA Cross Country Rookie of the Year … Was the top freshman finisher at the 8K CAA Cross Country Championship, finishing third overall in a PR of 24:03 … Was the top Hofstra runner at the NCAA Northeast Regional, placing 51st on the 10K course in 34:16.8 … Earlier in the season, placed second at the Paul Short Run (24:29) and 25th at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals (24:26) … Both those times stood as the school 8K record until a teammate surpassed them later in the season.

High School: Ran on the cross country and track and field teams at Kamagut High School in Eldoret, Kenya in 2011 and 2012 … Named best overall athlete in the 3,000-meter run in 2012 … Selected outstanding performer in the 8K in 2011 … Member of the second-place team in the 8K in 2011 and fifth-place team in the 3,000-meter run in 2012.
