2016 (Sophomore Year): Named the team’s Most Improved Player … Posted a 4-16 overall singles record, including 2-2 in MEAC play … Went 3-11 at the No. 5 position and 1-5 at the No. 4 spot … Posted wins over players from No. 60 Old Dominion, South Dakota State, Coppin State and Howard … Also lost a two-set match against Wake Forest’s Skander Mansouri, the No. 25 nationally ranked player at the time … Lost the first set to Mansouri in a tiebreaker … Also carried a 6-11 doubles record, 2-1 in conference matches … Wins over Old Dominion and South Dakota State came after taking the third-set tiebreakers … Posted a 4-10 record at the No. 2 spot and a 2-1 mark at the No. 1 position … Picked up wins over duos from Creighton, South Dakota State, No. 70 William & Mary, Coppin State and Howard … Won four of five matches at the midway point of the season … Spent most of his time with Antonio Pejic, compiling a 5-10 record … Also went 1-1 with Flavian Fernandez.
