2008: Named the MEAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Year, the first in school history…also named the NSU Male Athlete of the Year…selected to the All-MEAC first team and to the VaSID all-state second team…went 9-2 in singles play, all at No. 1…won his final nine matches of the year, including all three regular-season MEAC matches...eight of his nine wins came in straight sets… teamed with Petr Krakora to go 8-2 in doubles play, all at the No. 1 position…the team won two of its three MEAC doubles matches…named to the MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team.

2007: Named to the All-MEAC second team…compiled a 10-5 singles record (4-4 in the MEAC)…went 10-5 at No. 1 singles…teamed with Petr Krakora to go 11-3 in doubles play…enjoyed a nine-match singles winning streak at one point… named to the MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team.

2006: Named the MEAC Rookie of the Year…also a first-team All-MEAC selection…posted a 15-4 singles record, 10-4 at No. 1 and 5-0 at No. 2…lost just once in 10 MEAC matches…won his final 10 singles matches of the season…went 15-3 in doubles action with Vassil Zahariev, all at No. 1…the pair went a perfect 10-0 in MEAC play.

Personal: Miroslav Vlcek was born on September 26, 1985…son of Miroslav Vlcek and Hana Vlckova…majoring in business management.
