2014-15: Indoor: Participated in the weight throw in two events, the PSU Relays and UNC Open … Season-best throw was 46 feet, 1.5 inches at Penn State, good for 18th place … Was third at UNC (45-5.75). Outdoor: NSU’s top discus thrower, Thompson’s top throw of the season with 155-8 at the Virginia Cup, which placed him fifth … Won the discus at the Hampton Relays (152-6) and came in fifth at Morgan State (149-10).
 
2013-14: Indoor: Finished in 16th place in the weight throw at the Hokie Invitational (season-best 46-2.75) … Placed 11th at the weight throw at CNU’s Vince Brown Invitational (44-2.5) … Took third in the shot put at the Hampton Invitational (39-6). Outdoor: Threw the javelin and discus … Season-best discus throw was 157-1, which was good for fourth place at the Virginia Cup … Also earned top-10 finishes at Morgan State (ninth, 144-1) and UNC (seventh, 141-10) … Threw the javelin 123-9 at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.
 
College: Originally enrolled at West Virginia Wesleyan after graduating high school … Sat out while attending NSU in 2012-13.
 
High School: Was Central Region and Central District champ and third at the 2011 state outdoor meet in the discus throw as a senior at Meadowbrook ... Was also runner-up at the state meet as a junior … A former AAU Club national champion … High school PR is 175-6.
