2019-20: NSU AD Honor Roll member for both semesters and also named to the MEAC All-Academic Team … Also picked up his third straight USTFCCCA All-Academic honor.
Indoor: MEAC high jump champion for the seventh time in his career … Cleared 7-0.25, a season-best to win the title and complete a career sweep of the conference indoor high jump titles … Earned runner-up finishes at George Mason (6-9) and Albany (6-10.75) … Finished sixth in the high jump at the Penn State National (6-9) … Also competed in the multi-events at the VMI Winter Relays.
Outdoor: Season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2018-19: Member of the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters … Also selected to the MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team and was a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection.
Indoor: MEAC indoor high jump champion for the third straight year, clearing 6-10.75 to win the conference gold medal … That was one of three meets where he took the high jump title … Also won at the Virginia Tech Invitational (7-0.25) and VMI Keydet Invitational (7-0.5) … Cleared an indoor PR 7-1.75 in a second-place finish at the Liberty Flames Invitational … Named MEAC Field Athlete of the Week after reach of the three regular-season meets in which he competed.
Outdoor: Claimed his third straight MEAC outdoor high jump title, and thus his third straight yearly sweep of the high jump gold medals … Cleared 6-11.75 at the MEAC Outdoor Championship to defend his title … Also claimed two first-place finishes during earlier-season outdoor meets at the Colonial Relays (6-9.5) and the CNU Captains Classic (7-0.5) … MEAC Field Athlete of the Week after his win at the Colonial Relays … Was fourth at the Florida Relays (6-11) … Threw the javelin 140 feet, 1 inch for a fourth-place finish at the Captains Classic … NCAA East Preliminary Round participant for the third straight year, where he finished 27th out of 48 with a top height of 6-11.

Indoor: MEAC indoor high jump champion for the second year in a row … Milton cleared 7 feet in all but one indoor meet and was a two-time MEAC Field Athlete of the Week winner … Won the high jump titles at regular-season meets at the Jack Pyrah Invitational and Penn State National (cleared 7-0.5 in both meets … Was second at the Albany Great Dane Classic and third at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (7-0.25 at both meets) … Earned MEAC weekly honors after the Penn State and Albany meets … Cleared an indoor personal-best 7-1 in taking his second consecutive MEAC indoor high jump title.
Outdoor: Began his outdoor season by clearing a PR of 7-2.25 to win the Weems Baskin Invitational high jump … That jump tied for the 13th best in the NCAA East Region and tied for 21st nationally in 2018 … Also took seventh in the javelin throw with a PR of 142-7 at the same meet, picking up his first MEAC Field Athlete of the Week honor of outdoor season … Won the high jump titles at the Colonial Relays (7-0.25), Charlotte Invitational (6-9.75) and tied for first with teammate Garth Warner at the Virginia Grand Prix (6-10.25) … Won at least a share of the MEAC weekly field award each week … Cleared 7-1 en route to his second straight MEAC Outdoor Championship high jump title, and his second straight yearly sweep of the conference indoor and outdoor gold medals … Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round for the second year in a row, clearing 6-9 to tie for 28th.
2016-17: Named to the NSU AD’s Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters … Selected as the track and field team’s Rookie of the Year.
Indoor: MEAC indoor champion in the high jump … After clearing a top height of 6-6.75 during the team’s regular-season meets, Milton posted a PR of 6-11.5 to win the gold medal at the conference indoor competition … Earlier in the season, had cleared 6-6.75 at both the CNU Holiday Open (third place) and Vince Brown CNU Invitational (runner-up).
Outdoor: Completed the yearly sweep of the MEAC high jump titles with a gold medal at the conference outdoor meet in May, clearing 6-11 in the process … Claimed first place in the high jump in three other meets prior to the MEACs … Won at the Tribe Invitational (6-9.75), Colonial Relays (6-10.25) and Virginia Grand Prix (7-0.25) … Won MEAC Field Athlete of the Week after the Colonial Relays meet … Also threw the discus at the Tribe Invite, taking sixth place (119-9) … Threw the javelin at the Fred Hardy Invitational (sixth place, 126-4) and Morgan State Legacy Meet (12
th place, 124-11).
High School: Competed three years in track and field and one in cross country at Stuttgart HS in Germany, where his father was stationed in the Army … Took first place as a senior in the high jump and the discus throw at the DoDEA European Championships, a national meet for youth from military families … Broke the school record in both events … Had a high school PR of 6-8 for the high jump and 134-8 in the discus.
Personal: Jacob Allen Milton was born on June 10, 1998 … Earned his degree in political science in the spring of 2020 … Son of George Milton, who competed in track and field at Southern Arkansas University and then Clemson … George Milton was an All-ACC high jumper who still ranks in the top 10 in Clemson history in the event.
