2017-18: Cross Country: Earned a pair of top-10 finishes … Ran his best time as a Spartan with his time of 24:43.7 at the ECU Pirate Invitational, which was good for eighth place … Claimed All-MEAC cross country honors for the second year in a row by placing fourth at the MEAC Championships in 25:19.4 … Placed 59th at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships in a 10K time of 30:47.9. Indoor/Outdoor: Redshirted during track season.
2016-17: Member of the NSU AD’s Honor Roll for the fall semester and was selected to the MEAC All-Academic Team. Cross Country: NSU team MVP … Made his Spartan debut with a fifth-place finish at the Virginia Duals and finished the 4,000-meter course at Panorama Farms with a time of 12:45 … Crossed the finish line second with a time of 18:38.1 on the William and Mary Invitational 6,000-meter course … That was the first of consecutive second-place finishes for Korir when he finished behind teammate Felix Kiprotich … Also was runner-up in the following race at East Carolina, clocking a 15:23.59 at the Pirate Invitational … Completed the 8,000-meter course at the George Mason Invitational in a time of 24:53.1 to notch his first and only individual victory of the season … Earned MEAC Co-Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for his win at GMU … Posted the highest finish by a Spartan at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in a time of 25:11.8, which was the 11th-fastest time overall … Finished in third place at the Mid-Eastern Conference Championship with a time of 25:02.95, pacing the Spartans to a second-place finish and earning All-MEAC honors. 2015-16: Cross Country: A second-team All-Ohio Valley Conference performer for the second straight season … Placed 10th at the OVC Championship with a time of 25:14.8 … Season-best time was a 24:36.1 at the Panorama Farms Invitational … Also ran sub-25:00 at the Greater Louisville Classic (24:42.2) and the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational (24:44.6). Indoor: Took third place at the OVC Indoor Championships in the 5,000 meters (14:58.71) … Was runner-up in the 5K at the Thundering Herd Invitational (14:42.34) and in the 3K at the Marshall Invitational (8:26.33). 2014-15: Cross Country: Named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Freshman Cross Country Runner of the Year … Ran in EKU's top-five in every meet during the regular season, notably clocking a 24:25.5 8K against a loaded field at the Notre Dame Invitational in early October … Earned second team All-OVC honors with a ninth-place finish at the OVC Championships (24:40.9), helping the EKU men win their ninth straight conference crown ... NCAA Championships participant ... Qualified for the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships 10K with a time of 31.56.5 in the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships … Ran a 32:13.3 (10K) at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.
