Biography

2013 (Senior Year): The team’s everyday shortstop, competed in and started 49 of the team’s 53 games on the year … Made 47 starts at shortstop and two at third base … Batted .308 on the year with 32 runs on 45 hits and seven doubles, two homers, 13 walks and 29 RBI … Ranked third on the team in RBI … Was hit by a pitch nine times, the second-most in a single season in NSU history … Finished her career first all-time at NSU in infield assists with 301, second in hit by pitches with 17, fourth in games played, at bats and hits and eighth in doubles … Batted .326 with runners on base … Had 15 multi-hit games on the year and seven with at least two RBI … During a 13-game stretch from March 3-29 hit 22-for-42 (.524) with 14 runs and 19 RBI … Included in that stretch was a doubleheader at North Carolina A&T on March 13 in which she went 2-for-3 with four runs and four RBI in game 1 and 4-for-5 with two runs and five RBI in game 2 … Belted a two-run homer in the first game … Hit 4-for-6 in the next three games March 23-24 at Coppin State with five walks and five RBI … Finished 9-for-23 in seven games at the MEAC tournament from May 9-11 with seven runs scored … Drove in four runs, including a three-run homer, in game 2 against Delaware State on April 20 … Had a pair of three-hit games early in the season against Fairleigh Dickinson on Feb. 25 and against Drexel on March 8 … Batted 2-for-3 with two RBI against Delaware on March 3 and then went 4-for-8 with two runs and three RBI in a twinbill at Savannah State on March 6.

2012 (Junior Year): An All-MEAC second-team performer … The first NSU infielder to earn all-conference honors since 2009 … Named MEAC Player of the Week on March 14 … One of just two players to compete in all 49 games and the only player to start all 49 … Made 39 starts at shortstop, eight at second base and two at third base … Finished second on the team with a .324 average and added 20 runs, 46 hits, nine doubles, one home run, 19 RBI, 18 walk and a .423 on-base percentage … Ranked second on the team in on-base percentage and third in doubles … Had 11 multiple-hit games on the year … Had a nine-game hitting streak in the early part of the season, going 12-for-25 (.480) during that time … Also went 13-for-22 (.591) during a seven-game hitting streak later in the year … Hit safely in 12 of the last 14 games on the season … Had a pair of three-hit games during that time, including a 3-for-4 effort with one run and one RBI April 15 in a 13-7 win over Morgan State … Went 5-for-8 with three runs and an RBI in the three-game sweep of the Bears … Batted 3-for-4 with two runs April 25 in Game 2 against Howard … Hit 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI March 8 in a 10-0 win at South Carolina State … Knocked in a pair of runs in a 6-3 win over Coppin State on May 10 in the MEAC tournament … Smacked a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh that contributed to an eventual 4-3 win over Delaware on Feb. 26 … Added a pair of RBI April 6 in a 8-0 victory over UMES.

2011 (Sophomore Year): Competed in 46 games, starting 38 … Made 33 starts at shortstop and five at designated hitter … Batted .277 on the season after a slow start, with 10 runs, 31 hits, two doubles, a home run, eight RBI and two stolen bases … Had nine multi-hit games on the season … Posted a team-leading 12-game hitting streak that raised her average more than 100 points toward the end of the year … In a three-game sweep at North Carolina Central on May 7-8, batted 7-for-10 with two runs scored … Went 2-for-3, including her first collegiate home run, in Game 2 against Hampton on March 24 … Hit 2-for-4 with an RBI in Game 1 against Savannah State on March 28 … Added two hits in Game 2 against South Carolina State on April 16 and then again the next day against the Bulldogs … Knocked home two runs on a pair of hits in Game 2 against UMES on April 21.

2010 (Freshman Year): Competed in 40 games, starting 36 … Started 34 at second base with another two at designated player … Batted .368 on the year … Led the team with 123 at bats … Totaled 18 runs and 35 hits, finishing third on the team in hits … Hit five doubles, knocked in seven runs, drew 13 walks and finished third on the team with 38 total bases … Batted .314 (11-of-35) with runners in scoring position and .298 (17-of-57) with runners on … Tied for the team lead with nine multiple-hit games … Also made one appearance in the circle, pitching 1.1 innings at North Carolina Central on Feb. 18 … Hit 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI against Quinnipiac on Feb. 26 … Made seven putouts in the field from her second-base position against Rider on Feb. 27 … Went 7-of-14 over four games against UMES on March 31 and Bethune-Cookman on April 2 … Batted 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI against North Carolina Central on April 8 … In a doubleheader at South Carolina State on April 17, had back-to-back 3-for-4 performances.

High School: Was a three-time All-Valle Vista League first-team pick … Earned second-team honors her freshman year … Hit .532 (41-for-77) in 25 games during her senior year in 2009, helping San Dimas to a 21-4 record … Batted in 21 runs and had two home runs, two triples and one double … Also spent time in the pitching circle for San Dimas, going 4-0 with three saves in 17 appearances in 2009 … Had a 0.69 ERA, tossed 40.2 innings and struck out 38 batters … Led the league in ERA and ranked fourth in batting average, on-base percentage (.554) and strikeouts … Named to the all-area team by the San Gabriel Valley Tribune her junior and senior years and by the Daily Bulletin her senior year … Team captain her junior and senior years … Earned the team’s Defensive MVP Award her junior year and Offensive MVP Award her senior year … Was a Scholar-Athlete her first three years … Helped San Dimas capture the Valle Vista League Championship all four years … Integral part of the San Dimas squad that advanced to the CIF Southern Section quarterfinals in 2007, the semifinals in 2008 and finished as the runner-up in 2009 … Competed on the JV volleyball team her freshman and sophomore years.
