Biography

2008 (Sophomore Year)
Played and started 31 games at shortstop before suffering a season-ending knee injury on April 6 in game 2 of a doubleheader against Florida A&M…was named to the MEAC All-Academic team and was a National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association Scholar Athlete…led the team with a .354 batting average and 86 assists…had 35 hits in 99 at-bats and scored 20 runs for the season…hit six doubles and had nine RBI, a .414 slugging percentage and 10 walks on the year…only struck out twice in 99 at-bats and ranked as high as second in the nation on the toughest to strike out list…was ranked for five consecutive weeks…went a combined 3-for-6 with three runs, three RBI and a double in the March 11 doubleheader with North Carolina Central…was 2-for-4 and scored two runs against St. Francis (2-24-08)…had a season-high seven assists against Iona (2-23-08)…was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in the second game of a doubleheader with Maryland Eastern Shore (4-2-08)…went 2-for-3 with a run and a walk in her last game of the season (4-6-08)…was a combined 3-for-6 with three runs, two walks and a double that day in the FAMU doubleheader.

2007 (Freshman Year)
Played and started all 51 season games at shortstop…batted .277 for the season, which ranks fourth among returning players…totaled 41 hits in 148 at-bats and had 26 RBI…led the team with 12 doubles and 119 assists and paces all returnees with three triples…scored 21 runs on the year…was a combined 6-for-7 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI in a doubleheader against the University of Delaware in the Spartan Classic…hit her first career grand slam in an 11-5 win over Howard (3-25-07)…had a season-high four RBI in that game…had at least one hit in 17 straight games, which was the longest hitting streak on the team…hit .526 (10-for-19) with six runs, four RBI and three doubles in the six games at the MEAC Roundup…was a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI and a double against Delaware State at the Roundup (4-13-04)…went 2-for-3 with a double and scored four runs in the Roundup-win over UMES…was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in the first game of a doubleheader against UMES (3-31-07)…went a combined 7-for-13 with four runs and two RBI in back-to-back MEAC doubleheaders against North Carolina A&T (4-6-07) and Bethune-Cookman (4-7-07)…had a triple in the second game of each of those doubleheaders.

High School
Lettered four years on the volleyball and softball teams at Great Bridge…a two-time second-team All-Southeastern District pick in softball….she led the team in batting (.368), RBI (15) and doubles (13) as a senior, helping the Wildcats to the state Group AAA semifinals…helped the Wildcats to three Southeastern District volleyball championships and three district softball championships.
