Biography

2017 (Junior): Amassed a 1-1 record with two saves and a 3.24 ERA in 10 appearances out of the bullpen … Struck out 24 batters in 16.2 innings pitched … Picked up a save in the season-opening win over Villanova, striking out a career-high eight batters in three innings of relief work … Fanned four in 1.2 innings out of the bullpen in the first game against Tennessee … Also struck out three batters while pitching four innings and allowing just one unearned run at Richmond, earning the win in relief … Picked up his second save of the year with three strikeouts in two hitless innings pitched at MDES … Suffered a season-ending injury during a relief stint at Coppin State on April 2 … Named to the NSU AD Honor Roll for the fall semester and was a member of the MEAC All-Academic Team ... Graduated as the school’s all-time leader in strikeouts per nine innings (10.6).

2016 (Sophomore): Named to the All-MEAC second team as a relief pitcher … Posted a 1-3 record with a 4.12 ERA and four saves in 22 appearances, which included three starts … Struck out 75 batters in 59 innings pitched … Ranked second in the MEAC and 14th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (11.44) … Third in the MEAC in strikeouts and tied for third in the conference in saves … In MEAC-only games during the regular season, Parmentier was 1-0 with three saves and a 0.61 ERA in eight appearances … Allowed just one earned run in 14.2 innings pitched against MEAC North foes … Also named to the MEAC All-Tournament Team … Struck out three batters in two perfect innings of scoreless relief in the fourth game with NJIT … Fanned six batters and allowed just one hit in 3.2 frames of work in a no-decision against Towson … Struck out seven in five scoreless innings of relief against Coppin State, allowing just three hits … Tallied all four of his saves in a span of five appearances in April … Allowed one run with three strikeouts in two innings to notch his first save at Delaware State … Pitched 1.1 perfect innings of relief with two punchouts to get the save against MDES a week later … Also earned a save in the win over William & Mary with a scoreless ninth inning of work, including two strikeouts … Picked up a save in the third contest of the Coppin State series at NSU in late April, pitching two scoreless frames … Started the game with Richmond and earned a no-decision despite fanning seven in five innings pitched and allowing three runs … Also took a no-decision at Duke, where he started and pitched a career-high seven innings … Allowed just two hits and one run at Duke while striking out five batters … Earned MEAC Pitcher of the Week honors for his effort at Duke … Allowed just one earned run in 9.1 innings pitched in two appearances at the MEAC tournament … Pitched three scoreless innings of relief in the tournament-opening loss to Bethune-Cookman … Struck out a career-high nine batters in 6.1 innings out of the bullpen against Coppin State … Did not factor into the decision in that one, but allowed six hits and three runs (one earned) … Pitched for the Coastal Plain League’s Peninsula Pilots in Hampton during the summer season … Went 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched during the CPL regular season … Had two saves and a 0.00 ERA in three postseason CPL appearances.
 
2015 (Freshman): A versatile pitcher, Parmentier contributed both as a starter and a reliever for NSU as a freshman … Made 12 appearances, including five starts … Went 3-1 with a 3.49 ERA in 28.1 innings pitched … Allowed just 22 hits and struck out 23 … Opponents hit just .212 against Parmentier … Earned the win in relief in his first career appearance, against IPFW … Pitched three innings out of the bullpen without allowing a hit and striking out two batters … Struck out three batters in three innings pitched of a start against Longwood, allowing just one hit … Had his longest start the following week against Virginia Tech, earning a no-decision … Pitched four innings, allowed three hits and two runs and fanned two batters against the Hokies … Struck out a season-high five batters in just 2.2 innings pitched to earn a relief win against Coppin State in March … Allowed just one hit and one unearned run in two innings of a start at Richmond … Started both games against VCU, taking a loss in the first matchup … Worked a strong three innings in the second meeting, taking a no-decision in a game the Spartans ultimately won … Gave up one unearned run in three innings pitched … Earned the win in the MEAC tournament elimination game with MDES … Matched his season-long appearance by throwing four frames … Retired all 12 batters he faced, four by strikeout … Named to the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters … Pitched during the summer for the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League … Earned second-team All-FCBL honors and played in the FCBL all-star game … Went 2-3 with eight saves and a 1.91 ERA … Struck out 49 batters in 37.2 innings for the Sharks.
 
High School: Two-year varsity letter winner for Mark Stuffel at Nansemond River … Earned first-team All-Ironclad Conference honors and was honorable mention All-4A South Region as a senior for the Warriors … Tallied an 8-1 record with a 1.86 ERA and 56 strikeouts, helping NRHS win the conference tournament championship and reach the 4A South Region semifinals.
