Biography

2015 (Senior Year): Member of the MEAC All-Academic Team and the AD’s Honor Roll … Started all 41 games on the year and was the only player on the team to appear in every game … Caught every inning of the season behind the plate … Hit .260 on the year with 15 runs, 27 hits, five doubles, two home runs, 16 RBI and a team-leading 21 walks … Ranked fourth in the MEAC in walks … Had a .381 on-base percentage … Batted .273 (18-for-66) with runners on base, .283 (13-for-46) with runners in scoring position and .320 in conference play … Also led the league with 16 runners caught stealing and three runners picked off … Hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs altogether as part of a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored in a game 2 win over UMES on April 3 … Belted a home run and a double and went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in game 1 against George Washington on March 12 … Scored twice, drove in two runs and had two hits in two at bats with a double and a walk in a triumph at Morgan State on April 12 … Batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk in game 2 versus Delaware State on April 18 … Also knocked in a pair of runs on a two-run single in game 2 against Siena on March 21.
 
2014 (Junior Year): Member of the AD’s Honor Roll … Competed in and started 45 of the team’s 46 games on the year … Made 42 starts at catcher and three at shortstop … Batted .198 on the year with 22 hits in 111 at bats … Scored 12 runs with five doubles, three home runs, nine RBI, 10 walks and five sacrifice hits … Picked off a MEAC-best 11 runners … Also threw out 16 would-be base stealers, ranking second in the conference … Threw out 16-of-65 base stealers (24.6 percent) on the year … Went 2-for-3 with a run scored in game 1 against Coppin State on March 22 … Also had two hits in a game at UMES on April 6, going 2-for-4 with an RBI … Batted 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored against Howard on April 11 … Belted a solo homer against Yale on Feb. 22, which proved to be the eventual winning run of a 3-1 victory … Also had a solo homer in game 2 against North Carolina A&T on March 14 and then again in game 2 against Coppin State on March 22.
 
Louisburg College: Competed for two years under coach Don Stopa … Named first-team All-Region 10 her sophomore year … Batted .343 with nine doubles, 20 runs and 20 RBI … Hit .268 her freshman year with a .977 fielding percentage … Member of the Dean’s List and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society both years.
 
High School: Competed on the varsity softball team under coach Daniel Moore her sophomore, junior and senior seasons … Named the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS) Player of the Year as a senior … Led Greenbrier Christian to the state title … Earned first-team all-conference and first-team all-state honors … Earned a spot on the All-Tidewater Team by the Virginian Pilot … Was also named the News Channel 3 Player of the Week at one point … Hit .473 with 24 runs and 29 RBI … Also captured the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) state titles in her sophomore and junior seasons … Was tabbed first-team all-state as a catcher both years, and first-team all-state as a third baseman during her junior year … first-team all-conference as a sophomore and second-team all-conference her junior year … Won the team’s Golden Glove Award her sophomore year and the Defensive Player of the Year award her junior season.
