2014 (Sophomore Year): Was named first-team All-MEAC at third base for the second year in a row … Along with teammate Alina Moriarty, became the third NSU infielder ever to earn all-MEAC honors twice … The only one of the three to be named first-team twice … Earned preseason All-MEAC first-team honors … Voted to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State second team for the second year in a row … Also tabbed to the NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete team … Member of the MEAC All-Academic Team and the AD’s Honor Roll … Named MEAC Player of the Week on April 7 … Started all 46 of the team’s games at third base … Hit .317 on the year with 25 runs, 46 hits, six doubles, six homers, 24 RBI and five walks … Hit .342 (27-for-79) with runners on base … Had 13 games with two or more hits and six games with at least two RBI … Hit 4-for-4 with one double, a pair of homers, four runs and two RBI at UMES on April 6 … Batted 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in a 5-2 win at UMES on April 5, hitting a go-ahead, two-run double in the top of the eighth … In a sweep of Howard on March 31, batted 5-for-8 with two runs and four RBI … Hit a homer and went 2-for-3 with three RBI in a victory over Connecticut on March 9 … Batted 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI in game 2 against George Mason on April 2 … Also had three hits in game 2 against North Carolina Central on April 26 and three hits and three runs scored in game 2 against Hampton on May 3 … In a three-game sweep of Morgan State from April 12-13, hit a combined 5-for-9 with three runs and two RBI … Batted 24-for-48 (.500) in 14 games from March 23-April 18.
2013 (Freshman Year): Earned first-team All-MEAC honors … Became NSU’s first all-conference third baseman since 1999 and the only one to garner first-team accolades since the program went Division I in 1998 … Joined teammate Haley Ward (2012) as the only two NSU freshmen to earn first-team honors in the last 21 years … Named to the VaSID all-state second team … The Team’s Rookie of the Year along with Heather Dunning … Member of the AD’s Honor Roll … Competed in and started 46 games … Started 41 games at third base, two in left field, two at designated player and one at first base … Missed several games on the year due to concussion symptoms … Finished fourth on the team among regular starters in average at .331 … Scored 27 runs on 50 hits with eight doubles, one triple, two home runs and 26 RBI … Hit .341 with runners on base … Named the MEAC Rookie of the Week on April 1 after going 3-for-7 with two runs and four RBI in a three-game series against Howard … Had 14 multi-hit games and eight with at least two RBI … Both home runs on the year came in clutch situations … Belted a walk-off, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth against Coppin State on May 9 to keep NSU alive in the MEAC tournament … Hit a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to tie the score against UMES in game 1 on April 6, won by NSU in the 10th inning … Finished 6-for-11 in the three-game series with UMES … Had a 4-for-4 game in the second contest at North Carolina Central on April 16 … Batted 2-for-5 with three RBI in the first game of the MEAC tournament final against Hampton on May 11 … Posted three hits against UMES on April 7 and again on May 9 against Savannah State in the tournament … Went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI at Morgan State on April 13 and had two more hits and RBI in the next game against the Bears on April 14 … Batted 4-for-8 with three RBI in the opening games of the year Feb. 20 against North Carolina Central … Also went 4-for-8 in a doubleheader sweep of North Carolina A&T on March 13.
High School: A multi-sport athlete at South Johnston High … Competed on the varsity softball team all four years under coach Rhonda Langdon … Earned All-Eastern Carolina Conference honors freshman, sophomore and junior seasons … Named to the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association’s 3A all-state team at first base as a sophomore and junior … Named the team’s MVP sophomore year in leading South Johnston to the semifinals of the state tournament … Earned the team’s offensive award as a junior and the coach’s award her senior season … Led South Johnston to a 20-1 record and to the second round of the state playoffs her junior year, hitting .517 with 15 doubles, five triples, 10 home runs and 54 RBI … South Johnston ranked sixth in North Carolina and 92nd in the country that year according to maxpreps.com … Competed on the varsity basketball team for three years and the JV team for one … Earned all-conference honors in basketball all three years on the varsity team … Garnered team MVP honors her sophomore and senior seasons … Was twice named MVP of a Christmas tournament her sophomore and junior years … Also competed for the JV volleyball team for two years and the varsity squad for two years … Named to the all-conference team as a senior … Also a member of the varsity track team for two seasons … Earned all-conference and all-state honors in track and field both years … Won the 3A state championship in the shot put as a senior and finished as the runner-up as a junior … Named the school’s Female Athlete of the Year senior season … Also a member of the school’s Honor Roll.
