2013-14: Cross Country: Ran a season-best time of 20:00.50 to place 27^th at the MEAC Championship … took ninth place at the UMES Lid-Lifter with a time of 20:29.21. Indoor: Competed in one meet, the Hampton Invitational … participated in the 3,000 meters and distance medley relay … earned a spot on the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for the fall semester. Outdoor: Competed in one meet, running a leg on the 4x400 relay team at the Coastal Carolina Invitational … was named to the MEAC All-Academic Team.
 
2012-13: Cross Country: Ran a personal best time of 19:55.77 to finish 18th at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational… placed 30th at the MEAC Championship with a time of 20:28.29 … named the Most Improved Runner on the Spartan women’s cross country team following the season. Indoor: Ran an indoor PR in the 3,000m at the Gene Anderson Invitational hosted by UNC … her time of 11:05.95 was good for 13th place … placed 14th in that same event at the MEAC Indoor Championship (11:20.84). Outdoor: Came in 12th place in the 5,000m at the MEAC Outdoor Championship (19:23.73) … also competed in the steeplechase, but did not finish … took third place in the steeplechase with a PR of 12:14.26 at Morgan State … member of the 2012-13 MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team and the NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll for both semesters in 2012-13.
 
2011-12: Cross Country: Finished 38th at the 2011 MEAC Championship with a time of 21:17.14 … ran a season-best time of 19:58.82 at the UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational. Indoor: Placed seventh in the 3,000 meters at the CNU Vince Brown Invitational (11:21.48) … also ran the 3,000 at the CNU Holiday Open, and meets at UNC, George Mason and Virginia Tech. Outdoor: Placed eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the MEAC Outdoor Championship in a time of 12:18.08 … clocked a season-best steeplechase time of 12:14.65 in a third-place finish at the NSU Relays.
 
High School: Four-year letterwinner in both track and cross country…was a two-time all-conference cross country performer…high school PR was 19:32 for 5,000 meters.
 
Personal: Kassandra Marie Irizarry was born on July 28, 1993…daughter of Barbara Irizarry…majoring in biology.
