Biography

2019 (Junior): Earned second-team All-MEAC honors in his first season with the team … Also a CoSIDA Academic All-America third-team selection … Also was named NSU Male Scholar Athlete of the Year … A MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team, VaSID Academic All-State and NSU Athletics Director’s Honor Roll member who finished the year with a perfect 4.0 GPA … Had just as big an impact on the field, starting all 50 games – 38 in right field, 11 in left field and one at first base … Batted .290 with five home runs, 12 doubles and a team-high 44 runs batted in (second in the MEAC) … Was also 13-for-15 in stolen-base attempts … Went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a solo homer in the second game of the doubleheader with NJIT … Also had two hits against ODU … Drove in a career-high six runs in a 3-for-5 day in the victory at Longwood … Scored a season-high four runs and reached base five times (three hits, two walks) in the second game of the first series at Maryland Eastern Shore … Went 6-for-13, including a 3-for-6 game one, in the series at Coppin State … Drove in four runs, including a two-run double, in the series opener of the three-game set at Delaware State … Also had two hits in both the second and third games of that same DSU series … Matched his career high with six RBI against MDES in the teams’ series in Norfolk …. Batted 2-for-3 with a three-run double, two-run triple and a sacrifice fly in that contest … Hit a solo home run in the middle game vs. MDES, then went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI in the series finale … Doubled twice and drove in two runs in a win over Coppin State in the teams’ second series opener … Hit three home runs in the team’s final six games of the season, beginning with a solo homer at N.C. Central … Batted 6-for-14 with five runs, five RBI and two homers in the MEAC Tournament … Hit a two-run blast in the MEAC tourney opener vs. Florida A&M, then added a solo shot in a 3-for-3, three-RBI performance in the first game of the championship round against FAMU … Played for the Valley Baseball League’s Woodstock River Bandits during the summer wood bat season … Was a first-team All-Valley League selection and finishing fourth in the league in batting, at .385 … Hit six homers and drove in 30 during the regular season with Woodstock, then batted .545 with four doubles, two homers and nine RBI in five playoff games with the River Bandits.

2018: Sat out the season per NCAA Division I transfer rules.

At Richmond: Played two seasons at the University of Richmond … Was an Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman in 2016 … Batted .435 (20-for-46) with six doubles, one home run and 12 RBI … On the mound, made 20 appearances (all in relief), logging a 2-1 record and a 4.33 ERA … Notched four saves and struck out 25 batters in 27 innings … Hit .230 with 12 RBI and six extra-base hits as a sophomore … Also made 10 pitching appearances, including one start, logging 15 innings as a sophomore.

High School: First team All-Ironclad Conference outfielder and second-team all-state 4A selection that season … Was 9-2 with a 2.13 ERA while batting .436 with four homers, seven doubles and two triples … Was a second-team all-conference performer as both a pitcher and outfielder his junior season … Rated the 20th-best right-handed pitcher in the state in the class of 2015 by Perfect Game … 2014 17U Perfect Game BCS Finals all-tournament team performance … Was also a member of the National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society and National Science Honor Society in high school.
