NSU head men’s basketball coach
Dwight Freeman announced on Monday that four new players have enrolled at the school, three of whom will be eligible to play this season.
The new players are: 6-9 post player
Kyle Garrison from Baltimore, Md.; 6-7 forward
Tynell Dunkley of Baltimore, Md.; and 6-3 guard
Michael Bates from Laplace, La.
A fourth, 6-8 post player
Calvin Brown, has enrolled at NSU and will be eligible for the 2004-05 season. He is a transfer from St. Bonaventure University.
Garrison averaged 12 points and seven rebounds per game last season for Lake Clifton High School. He was injured his junior year of high school.
Dunkley averaged about 12 points per game last season at Laurinburg Institute in Laurinburg, N.C.
Bates averaged 19.8 points and about seven rebounds and seven assists per game for East Jefferson High School in Metairie, La.
Brown played in 25 games last season with the Bonnies, including five starts. He averaged 1.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He will sit out this season per NCAA transfer rules.
