Spartans Host Howard for Homecoming on Saturday

Game to be Televised Live on ESPNU

NORFOLK, Va. -
NSU tries to extends its longest winning streak in 23 years when it hosts Howard University for homecoming 2007. The Spartans, ranked 23rd in this week's Sports Network and College Sporting News coaches polls, won their fifth consecutive game, 33-27, at Florida A&M on Thursday, Oct. 18. It was NSU's first-ever win over FAMU and clinched the Spartans' first winning record in Division I.

Howard won for the third time in the last four games, scoring 20 points in the final 3:52 of the game to rally past North Carolina A&T 35-27 last Saturday. It was the Bison's first MEAC win of the season.

RADIO/TV
Radio: Ross Gordon (play-by-play) and Terence Green (color) will have the call for
NSU on Hot 91, WNSB 91.1 FM.

Internet: Log onto NSU's new athletics web site, www.nsuspartans.com, and click the 'Live Audio' link to hear the audio stream of the game.

TV: Today's game will be NSU's third appearance on TV this season, and second on ESPNU. The game will be shown live with Charlie Neal (play-by-play) and Eddie Robinson Jr. (color) describing the action. ESPNU is available through most cable operators, including Cox in Hampton Roads. 

THE SERIES
• Howard leads the all-time series 14-4.
• The Bison have won four of the last fi ve games, including a 13-10 win last season.
• NSU won the last meeting in Norfolk, 26-7, in 2005.
