NORFOLK, Va. - The NSU men's basketball team (1-3) hosts its 2008-09 home opener on Tuesday night when the Jacksonville State Gamecocks (4-1) visit Echols Hall. Tip off is at 7 p.m.

The Spartans will be looking to end a three-game losing streak after dropping a 75-52 decision on Sunday evening at Air Force. Jacksonville State, under first-year head coach James Green, is on a four-game winning streak after a 95-67 win over VMI on Saturday in Alabama.

This is second of a home-and-home series between NSU and JSU. The Spartans won the first-ever meeting between the schools, 76-72 on Dec. 29, 2007 in Jacksonville, Ala.

Live stats for the contest will be available through the NSU athletics web site and can be accessed by visiting www.sidearmstats.com/nsu/mbball.
