Tournament Notes

NORFOLK, Va. - The Spartan men's basketball team (1-6) continue its long December road swing when it plays in the first of two tournaments this month this Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Basketball Travelers Tip-Off Tourney hosted by Missouri State. 

NSU plays host MSU (5-3) on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, Middle Tennessee State (4-4) on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET and UC Irvine (1-7) on Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Spartans will be trying to break a six-game losing streak after dropping a 66-43 decision at Wright State on Wednesday.

The Spartans have never played UC Irvine or Middle Tennessee State before, and have only played Missouri State once before, with MSU prevailing 93-67 in the 1974-75 season.
