NORFOLK, Va. —Norfolk State junior catcher Brad Stephenson (Chesapeake, Va.) was named the Black College Baseball Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

Stephenson batted .438 (7-of-16) from March 23-30 with four doubles, one triple and 10 RBI as the Spartans went 3-1. Stephenson hit safely in all four games, including a 3-for-5, five RBI performance against Old Dominion.

The Spartans (11-10) moved up one spot from 10th to ninth in the weekly Black College Baseball Poll.
