NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State's repeated efforts to make up its rain-delayed series with Maryland Eastern Shore have again hit a snag.

Persistent rains in the Norfolk area have not allowed playing conditions at Marty L. Miller Field to improve, resulting in the postponement of Wednesday's doubleheader between the Spartans and Hawks.

The teams plan to make up at least two of their three-game MEAC series at a later date.

NSU will carry a 13-10 record, 3-3 in the MEAC, and a six-game winning streak into this weekend's three-game set at first-place Bethune-Cookman.
