Women Host Delaware State, Maryland Eastern Shore in MEAC Contests

NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women's basketball team continues its homestand with two MEAC contests this weekend. The Spartans host Delaware State (6-9, 2-0 MEAC) at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Maryland Eastern Shore at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Saturday's game has been designated Youth Day. Youth age 17 and under accompanied by a paying adult will be admitted free. All youth groups must include one paying adult per 10 kids in a group. Groups are asked to submit an alphabetized list of adults and youth to sawhitaker@nsu.edu or fax at (757) 823-2566. Halftime activities will include The Magic of Krendl & Company.

Monday's doubleheader against Maryland Eastern Shore will feature a half-time performance by the Booker T. Washington Dance Ensemble. The group's presentation will combine tributes the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and the president-elect Barack Obama.

Both games can be heard live on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM in Hampton Roads. Ross Gordon will have the call on the NSU Sports Network.
