Men's Basketball Resumes MEAC Slate at Coppin State

MEAC scoring leader Michael Deloach and the Spartans visit Coppin State on Saturday for a 4 p.m. game.

Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va. -
NSU (2-10, 0-1 MEAC) resumes MEAC play and plays its first game since Dec. 29 when it travels to Baltimore, Md., to face defending MEAC Tournament champion Coppin State (2-12, 0-1) at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Spartans broke their school-record 10-game losing streak in their last outing with a 76-54 win over NAIA school Lethbridge in the consolation game of the Bobcat 6th Man Club Classic hosted by Montana State on Dec. 29. Coppin State has lost 12 of its last 13 after an 88-55 loss at Missouri on Tuesday night.

The game also pits the MEAC's two leading scorers, NSU's Michael Deloach (Rocky Mount, N.C.) (20.1 ppg) and Coppin State's Tywain McKee (19.1), against each other.

The game can be heard live on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM in the Hampton Roads area. Ross Gordon will have the call on the NSU Sports Network. WNSB's audio stream is available world wide on the internet at www.nsuspartans.com by following the “Live Audio” link.
