Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women's basketball team hits the road this weekend for its final road trip of the regular season. The Spartans play at Delaware State (12-11, 8-2) at 2 p.m. on Saturday and at Maryland Eastern Shore (10-11, 6-4)  at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

On the season, the Spartans (0-20, 0-10 MEAC) are averaging 54.6 points and 35.1 rebounds per game. They are shooting 33.3 percent (407-of-1235) from the field, 29.9 percent (75-of-279) from 3-point range, and 61.1 percent (203-of-332) from the free-throw line. Individually, Marquilla Evans (Portsmouth, Va.) leads the team in scoring with 9.1 points per game, while Danelle Tate (Stafford, Va.) averages a team-leading 3.8 rebounds per game.
