Spartan Men Return Home, Face S.C. State

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Echols Hall

Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va.
- The Norfolk State men's basketball team (8-15, 6-6 MEAC) looks to get back on track when it begins a five-game, season-ending homestand this Saturday against South Carolina State (12-12, 7-5). Tip-off is at 6 p.m. at Echols Hall.

Saturday is also Breast Cancer Awareness Day at NSU. All fans are encouraged to wear pink. There will be a Celebration of Life parade of area breast cancer survivors during halftime of the game.

The Spartans have dropped two straight and four out of five after an 83-81 loss at Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday night. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are tied with North Carolina A&T and Coppin State for
second place in the MEAC standings after defeating Howard 73-59 on Monday, their sixth win in the last seven games.

The game can be heard live on WNSB Hot 91.1 FM in Hampton Roads. Ross Gordon and Chris Park will have the call. WNSB's audio stream is available here. Live stats for the game will also be available here

SCSU leads the all-time series with NSU 14-8. NSU won the earlier meeting this season, 68-62, in Orangeburg. The teams split their regular-season meetings last year, with each notching a double-digit victory on its home floor.
