NORFOLK, Va. – NSU (8-17, 6-7 MEAC) and Hampton (13-14, 6-7) will stage the second version of the Battle of the Bay this Saturday at Echols Hall. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Both teams are battling for positioning in the upcoming MEAC Tournament. The Spartans have lost four in a row and six of seven since the beginning of this month after a 68-64 non-conference loss to Winston-Salem State on Monday. The Spartans are tied for sixth in the MEAC with Howard and Hampton, which beat first-place Morgan State 49-47 on Monday. The top five teams in the standings receive byes into the quarterfinals.

NSU leads the all-time series with Hampton 74-37 and will be looking for its first regular-season sweep of the Pirates since 2005-06. The Pirates had won the last three meetings between the teams prior to NSU's 68-62 win on Jan. 31 at Hampton.
