Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va. — The Spartans (0-18, 0-8 MEAC) continued their season-long losing streak with a 71-45 defeat at Howard on Monday. Freshman guard Tiora Hackley (Virginia Beach, Va.) led the team in scoring with a career-high 15 points.

On the season, NSU is averaging 54.2 points and 34.8 rebounds and is shooting 32.9 percent (359-of-1092) from the floor. Freshman guard Marquilla Evans (Portsmouth, Va.) leads the team in scoring with 9.3 points per game and is averaging 10.5 points per contest in conference play. Defensively, Tashawna Higgins (Toronto, Ontario) is tops on the team with 4.1 rebounds per game.

Saturday is also Alumni Appreciation Day. All alumni will be admitted free with the promotional postcard for the event.
