NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women's basketball team returns home to host Hampton at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Howard at 6 p.m. on Monday.
NSU (2-9, 0-3 MEAC) dropped a pair of conference road games this past weekend, falling 79-61 at Bethune-Cookman and 58-47 at Florida A&M. Against FAMU, freshman center Batavia Owens (Norfolk, Va.) posted career-highs in points (10), field goals made and attempted (3-of-12), offensive (five) and defensive rebounds (10) and free-throw percentage (66.7; 4-of-6). For the two games, Owens averaged 9.0 points and 12.5 rebounds.
Hampton improved to 5-9 overall and 1-2 in the MEAC after a dominating 74-37 win over Morgan State on Monday.
