Spartan Men Close out December Slate at Ohio

Game Notes

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State caps its December road slate with a non-conference game at Ohio University at 7 p.m. this Thursday night.

The Spartans enter this contest having lost eight in a row after an 87-69 loss at Evansville last Thursday night. Rob Hampton led NSU with 19 points and Chris McEachin added 17, but the Spartans were whistled for 36 personal fouls which led to Evansville attempting 54 free throws, making 43.

Ohio, the defending MAC Tournament champion, has dropped to 6-6 after two straight losses. In their last time out, the Bobcats lost a 76-65 home decision to Temple on Dec. 22. DeVaughn Washington led OU with 20 points.

SERIES NOTES
NSU and Ohio University have never met before. This is just the second time the Spartans have ever faced a Mid-American Conference team. NSU lost 84-66 at Kent State on Jan. 4, 2010.
