NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State junior Kyle O'Quinn was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season on Monday, the league announced.
The 6-10 post player averaged 13.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in NSU's games at South Carolina State and versus Morgan State. He tied his season high with six blocked shots in the loss at SCSU, then had 18 rebounds – 14 on the defensive end – and three blocks against the Bears.
This is O'Quinn's eighth time being recognized with a weekly MEAC award this season. He has also been named MEAC Player of the Week four times.
