O’Quinn Named to MEAC All-Tournament Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Junior center Kyle O'Quinn was named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team following the championship game Saturday.

O'Quinn averaged 18 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks per game to help the Spartans reached the semifinals. He tallied a double-double in all three contests. In the first round against Howard, O'Quinn had 25 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in NSU's 68-53 win. He was 8-of-11 from the floor and 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.

O'Quinn was held to 10 points in the quarterfinal win over Coppin State, but the MEAC Defensive Player of the Year came up big on the defensive end with 13 rebounds and five blocked shots.

In the semifinal loss to Hampton, O'Quinn capped his tournament with 19 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks. He was 6-of-12 from the floor.

O'Quinn ended the season averaging team highs in points (16.4), rebounds (11.1) and blocks (3.4), ranking in the nation's top 10 in the latter two categories.
