NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State athletics department is announcing a new opportunity for fans to experience the excitement of Spartan football this season. The Spartan Fan Zone will debut on Saturday, Sept. 3 prior to the Virginia Lottery Labor Day Classic with Virginia State to provide pregame fun for all Spartan ticket holders.
 
The Spartan Fan Zone will be located inside Marty L. Miller Baseball Field adjacent to William “Dick” Price Stadium. It offers three hours of unadulterated entertainment to include giveaways, interactive games, live radio remotes, bands, free food sampling and much more.
 
The initial Spartan Fan Zone attraction will be the “DJ Spin Off” on Saturday, Sept. 3. DJ Illmatic Beats from WNSB Hot 91.1 FM, DJ Bee from WOWI 103 JAMZ and the legendary DJ HEARTATTACK will be the featured performers. Admission is free with a game ticket or student ID card. The party starts at 2 p.m. and ends one-hour prior to kick-off.
