Holston Places 6th at NCAA Indoor Meet, Earns All-America Honors

NAMPA, Idaho - Norfolk State sprinter Sean Holston finished sixth on Friday night in the final of the men's 200 meters at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Boise State. Holston clocked a time of 20.90 seconds in his finals heat.

Holston ran a preliminary time of 20.81 seconds.

By placing in the top eight, Holston earns first-team All-America honors. Holston is NSU's first indoor All-American since long jumpers Marlon Woods and Corey Vinston placed seventh and eighth, respectively, at the 2009 indoor meet. This is Holston's first career first-team All-America honor. He was an honorable mention All-American in the 400 meters as last year's NCAA outdoor meet.

Texas A&M's Ameer Webb won the national title in the 200, running a time of 20.57 seconds in the finals. He ran a facility record of 20.39 in the prelims.
