NORFOLK, Va. – This weekend's Norfolk State-Coppin State MEAC baseball series has been moved up one day due to the forecast of inclement weather in the Norfolk area later this weekend.
The series – originally slated for Saturday and Sunday at Marty L. Miller Field – will now start with a single game at 7 p.m. on Friday night. The teams will play their regularly scheduled doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday. There will not be a game played on Sunday.
NSU won the two earlier meetings between the schools last month in Glen Burnie, Md. The Spartans (11-21, 7-7 MEAC) are currently in third place in the MEAC Northern Division, while CSU is in fourth.
