CARSON, Calif. – Norfolk State receiver Xavier Boyce made three receptions for 21 yards and caught a touchdown pass to help the National all-star team beat the American team 34-0 last Saturday in the 2013 NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl at the Home Depot Center.
Boyce caught a 9-yard touchdown pass midway through the third quarter from former Washington State quarterback Jeff Tuel in the all-star game featuring college football standouts who recently completed their eligibility. Boyce also had a 14-yard reception earlier in the game and ended up the contest tied with Rice tight end Luke Willson for the second-most grabs on the National squad.
A two-time All-MEAC selection at NSU, the 6-4, 220-pound Boyce will now focus his attention on workouts and pro days in the coming months in hopes of catching the attention of a pro team.
