NORFOLK, Va. – A rainy weekend forecast has resulted in adjustments to this weekend's Norfolk State-Rider baseball series.
The series – originally slated for a three-game set with contests Friday, Saturday and Sunday – will not start until Sunday. The teams will play a doubleheader consisting of one nine-inning game and one seven-inning affair on Sunday at Marty L. Miller Field. The teams will wrap up the series with a noon game on Monday.
The Spartans enter the series with a 1-2 record following their season-opening series with Navy last weekend. This will be Rider's first action of the 2013 season.
