Hampton Invitational Results
HAMPTON, Va. – Sophomore
Johnathan Anderson won the men's Division I shot put title to lead the NSU men's track and field team's efforts Saturday at the Hampton University Invitational.
Anderson's best throw was 42 feet, 9.75 inches. Teammate
Clifton Thompson was third in the same event.
On the track, redshirt freshman Michael Smith continued to run well in the 60m hurdles. He posted a personal-best time of 8.28 seconds in the prelims, and was second in the finals in 8.36.
In other field events,
D'Sean Brown was second in the high jump and third in the long jump, while
Chris Crawford was second in the long jump.
The Spartans will compete this weekend at the Hokie Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech.
