NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State women's tennis team will compete in a pair of matches this weekend against Christopher Newport and fellow MEAC opponent, North Carolina Central.
NSU (2-2, 1-0) is coming off of a 7-0 loss to No. 6 North Carolina on Wednesday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Christopher Newport (0-2) suffered a 7-2 loss to the Methodist University on Sunday in Fredericksburg, Va. Katie Carlson and Logan Eldridge picked up the only wins for the Captains.
N.C. Central (0-6, 0-0) fell to Campbell University, 6-1, on Thursday at Nisbet Tennis Center in Buies Creek, N.C. Aissa Muamba earned the only victory for the Lady Eagles.
The Spartans will face CNU on Saturday and N.C. Central on Sunday. Both matches begin at 12 p.m. at the Centre Court Racquet Club in Newport News, Va.
