Vince Brown Invitational Results

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Redshirt freshman Michael Smith placed third in the 60 meter hurdles on Saturday as the NSU men's track team capped its indoor season at the Vince Brown Invitational.

Smith clocked a time of 8.32 seconds in the finals. That marked his second-best time of the indoor season. In field events, Clifton Thompson finished 11th in the weight throw (44 feet, 2.5 inches) and Justin Dozier cleared a season-best height of 10-10.25 in the pole vault.

The Spartans, who are not able to compete at this week's MEAC Indoor Championship, will open their outdoor season on March 14-15 at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.
