NORFOLK, Va. – Tickets remain on sale for the Tuesday, April 1 baseball exhibition game between Norfolk State and the Norfolk Tides at Harbor Park in downtown Norfolk.
Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. for the 5:30 first pitch for the exhibition, which is being sponsored by Suntrust and Electronic Systems. NSU has also arranged for David James, the director of Major League Baseball's Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Program, to throw out the first pitch.
Tickets may be purchased at the NSU Ticket Center between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are also on sale at all home NSU baseball games at the booster club concession stand.
General admission for adults and children is $7. Groups with 20 or more will be admitted for $5. Only general admission tickets will also be sold in advance at the Harbor Park box office. Anyone interested in purchasing at the group rate must purchase through coach Clark, the NSU athletics department or the NSU Ticket Center. The group rate is only available through advance sales, not on the day of the game.
The three previous games between NSU and the Tides drew an average of nearly 8,400 fans.
