NSU Men’s Basketball Offering Travel Packages for 2015 Paradise Jam

Paradise Jam Travel Package

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's basketball team is currently offering exclusive travel packages for the 2015 Paradise Jam, set to take place from Nov. 20-23 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
 
Package rates include four-, five- or 10-night stays at the Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in St. Thomas. Rates start as low as $1,240 for four nights and include resort fees and taxes. Travel packages are being sold through Norfolk State by the Paradise Jam tournament.
 
Included in the price of the package are the hotel accommodations, a tournament pass to every game of the Paradise Jam, luggage transportation, bus transportation to and from the tournament and the airport, as well as a tournament souvenir. The price does not include airfare, meals, transportation to and from the departure city, and tips and other incidentals.
 
Each package has a savings of at least several hundred dollars off the cumulative per night room prices. Those discounted rates are only available through these exclusive packages.
 
The deadline to submit a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure a spot on the trip with Norfolk State is April 30. Those who want to purchase a travel package can pay all of the cost up front or pay in 20 percent increments on the 15th of each month from May through September. Final payment would be due on Sept. 15. All checks can be made out to NSUAF-Men's Basketball.

This year will mark the third time Norfolk State has competed in the Paradise Jam following trips in 2005 and 2011. NSU finished as the runner-up at the tournament in '11 after falling to Marquette by two points in the final. Teams slated to play in the 2015 edition include DePaul, Florida State, Indiana State, Hofstra, Ohio, South Carolina and Tulsa.
 
The 16th annual Ezybonds Global Payments U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam will take place from Nov. 20-23 at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center, located at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas, USVI.
