NORFOLK, Va. – Senior guard Jeff Short of the Norfolk State men's basketball team was voted to the MEAC All-Tournament Team, which was announced on Saturday afternoon following the conclusion of the championship game.
 
He led NSU with 16 points in Wednesday's 66-47 quarterfinal win over North Carolina Central while adding six rebounds and three assists. He contributed 10 points and four assists in Friday night's 67-65 loss to South Carolina State in the semifinals.
 
Short became the first all-tournament team selection since Pendarvis Williams in 2014.
 
Joining him on this year's all-tournament team were Eric Eaves and Tashombe Riley of runner-up South Carolina State and Reginald Johnson Jr. and Quinton Chievous of champion Hampton.
 
NSU will await a possible postseason tournament bid.
