NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State University Director of Athletics Marty L. Miller announced on Tuesday that the game time for the Spartan football team's season-opener, the ABNB Labor Day Classic against Elizabeth City State, has been pushed back to a 6 p.m. start time on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Dick Price Stadium.
 
"We are attempting to create a feisty and fun-filled weekend for the ABNB Labor Day Classic. With the extreme heat that is being experienced in Virginia, we want to make sure that the game environment is a safe and comfortable one for the student-athletes and fans from both institutions." 
 
Tailgating lots will open at noon on Sept. 3 and will close three hours after the conclusion of the game. All individuals who enter tailgating areas must have a game ticket. The newly-created Spartan Club Zone will also open at 4 p.m. that day.
