2. NSU will be looking to halt a three-game losing streak during its second straight road trip to the "DMV" area this weekend. The Spartans lost their third game in a row last week when Howard rallied for a 28-24 win in Washington, D.C.
3. The Spartans led 24-14 entering the fourth quarter, but the Bison rallied with two touchdowns in the final 8:06, including the winning score, Caylin Newton's 2-yard TD run, with just five seconds left.
4. The Spartans racked up a season-high 406 yards of total offense, led by a career-high 112 rushing yards from Aaron Savage and 257 passing yards by Juwan Carter. Savage ran for one touchdown while Carter ran for one and passed for another, a 19-yarder to Demetreus Ferebee.
5. Senior LB Anthony Smith finished with 14 tackles, two for loss, with one interception to lead the Spartan defense.
6. Morgan State suffered a similarly disappointing outcome on Saturday, allowing 10 points in the final 1:05 to lose 33-30 at Delaware State. The Hornets scored the winning points on a 3-yard TD pass with nine seconds left.
7. The Bears finished with 409 yards of total offense as quarterback DeAndre Harris completed 20-of-27 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns, all going to Manassah Bailey.
8. Morgan State has lost four games in a row. The Bears' only win this season came on Oct. 14 in Baltimore in a 48-28 triumph over Savannah State.
9. MSU ranks third in the MEAC in both total offense (352.9 ypg) and rushing offense (147.2 ypg),  but leads the MEAC with 29 turnovers committed and is tied for last in turnover margin (-11).
10. Since moving to the MEAC, Morgan State is the one conference team the Spartans have had the most success against. NSU is 17-3 against the Bears on the field since moving to the MEAC in 1997 with 10 straight on-field wins (three wins were later vacated). MSU's last win over the Spartans was a 29-20 decision in Norfolk on Nov. 4, 2006. The Bears' last win in Baltimore was a 43-34 decision on Nov. 22, 2003.
