6. Howard, which was picked to finish ninth in the MEAC preseason poll, has won four straight games following its lone MEAC loss of the year (13-7 to N.C. Central on Oct. 7).Â
7. The Bison have won two straight road games, the most recent being a 37-26 win at Florida A&M last Saturday. The Bison rallied from a 23-20 halftime deficit by outscoring the Rattlers 17-3 in the second half in Tallahassee.
8. Freshman QB Caylin Newton gave FAMU fits, running for 141 yards and one touchdown while passing for 294 yards and three more scores. Two of his touchdown passes went to Jequez Ezzard, including the go-ahead 37-yarder early in the second half.
