NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State's first road game of the season, at No. 1 James Madison next Saturday, will be televised live regionally on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN2), JMU announced earlier this week.
The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. from Bridgeforth Stadium in Harrisonburg, Va. It will be the first-ever meeting between the teams, with JMU set to travel to Dick Price Stadium next fall.
The announcement gives the Spartans two televised games this year. The Oct. 14 home game against Hampton will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and the Watch ESPN App, with a tape-delayed broadcast on ESPNU set for 10:30 p.m. that same night.
MASN2 is available on most cable networks in the region, including Cox, Verizon Fios and Comcast. It is also available on DirecTV and Dish Network.
The matchup against the Dukes could be NSU's first-ever contest against a nationally No. 1-ranked FCS opponent. JMU won the FCS national championship last year and is currently 1-0 with a win at FBS East Carolina last week, with a home matchup against East Tennessee State on tap this weekend.
The Sept. 16 game will be the second of two straight games for NSU against Colonial Athletic Association opponents, following this weekend's game with William & Mary.
