NORFOLK, Va. – Beginning today, the membership drive for the Spartan Youth Club for the 2018-19 athletics season is officially underway.
The Spartan Youth Club is an organization for young fans of Norfolk State athletics. Membership is open to all youth entering grades 8 and below. High school students cannot participate per NCAA rules.
Membership for the Spartan Youth Club costs only $20 and covers the entire athletic year (August 2018-May 2019). Registration is open until October 30 to the first 500 applicants.
New this year, parents can sign up all youth
online via credit card. Memberships can also be purchased at any of the three Spartan Youth Club registration events or at the Athletics Department main office located in Echols Hall from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Thursday.
Payment forms of cash or money order can be used in person only. Money orders along with the
PDF membership can be sent in to the address shown on the form.
Members of the Spartan Youth Club receive the following:
- Free general admission to all home Norfolk State athletic events
- Official membership card
- Official members-only book bag
- Spartan Youth Club meet and greet autograph session with NSU student-athletes
- Birthday greeting from the Spartan mascot
- Access to members-only events and parties
- Members-only newsletter
Memberships can be purchased at a promotional rate of buy one, get one half off at the Spartan Youth Club table at any of the following three registration events only:
- NSU football scrimmage – August 18
- Labor Day Classic, NSU vs. Virginia State football game – September 1
- NSU vs. JMU football game – September 8
