Norfolk, VA -- The MEAC Foundation is proud to announce the inaugural MEAC Foundation Sneaker Ball, taking place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. 

This event aims to bring together alumni, student-athletes, corporate partners, and supporters of the MEAC and its member institutions for an evening celebrating HBCU excellence while advancing the Foundation's mission. Guests will experience a night where style meets purpose, honoring legacy and creating opportunities for our athletic programs and student-athletes. It will be a night of celebration as we present the Talmadge Layman Hill and Mary McLeod Bethune All-Sports wards to the men's and women's top programs and award the Highest Graduation Success Rate and Academic Performance Rate honors.  As well as honor five women deemed the Guardians of the Game for their tireless work behind the scenes to support athletics.  

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the MEAC Foundation and its Elite Eight member institutions, supporting scholarships, leadership development, and resources for the next generation of student-athletes.
