NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State head football coach
Latrell Scott added to his 2019 recruiting class by signing 10 new players on the second national signing day of the recruiting cycle on Wednesday.
Scott welcomes four new linemen, two multi-position athletes, one running back, one tight end, one linebacker and one defensive back with this latest signees. Six hail from the Commonwealth of Virginia, while four are out of state recruits.
"We went more national than normal to identify players who met our needs," Scott said. "We wanted to add more depth on both sides of the line. We also signed several players who can play both ways, so we improved our depth and versatility. We also added some maturity with two junior college players."
Wednesday's signing day haul brings Scott's recruiting class to 13 players. The Spartans inked three recruits in December's early period, receiver
Da'Quan Felton (Portsmouth, Va./Churchland HS), offensive lineman
